Naples, Fla.-based NCH Healthcare System has received a $5 million match grant from Barbara and Steve Slaggie to support the construction of a new Margo Urgent Care clinic.
The philanthropist couple had financially supported the renovation and reopening of the Marco Rehabilitation Center and announced the donation to support the urgent care clinic at the reopening ceremony of the rehabilitation center.
Construction on the urgent care center is expected to begin this summer and wrap up in 2024, according to a Jan. 10 NCH news release.
"NCH is in a period of transformational change to become an Advanced Community Healthcare System and this amazing gift will help to assure that the high level of care that comes with that designation will be available to Marco and the surrounding communities for generations to come," NCH President and CEO Paul Hiltz said.
