The 104-bed Saint Francis Hospital South in Tulsa, Okla., is planning a $250 million expansion that will more than double the number of patient beds at the facility, according to Tulsa World.
The project, announced June 14, calls for building a tower that will house 120 new beds, renovating and adding eight operating rooms to its surgery unit and consolidating its pre- and post-anesthesia units. The plan also includes an expansion of inpatient rehabilitation services.
"We will be adding approximately 200,000 square feet to this hospital, and our staff and providers are very excited about what we have planned," Todd Schuster, vice president and administrator of Saint Francis Hospital South, told Tulsa World.
Construction is slated to start this year and end in 2025.
