Boardman, Ohio-based Akron Children's Hospital Mahoning Valley unveiled its expanded emergency room after investing $31 million into the construction project, local news outlet 21WFMJ reported April 5.
The new emergency room grew from 9,600 square feet to 34,700 square feet. Additionally, the emergency room added six new treatment rooms.
The expansion was first announced in 2021, and the new emergency room will begin seeing patients April 19.
