Ochsner Health Center-River Parishes opened in LaPlace, La., Tuesday, according to the Lexington Herald-Leader.
The 20,000 square-foot facility completes Oshsner Health System's replacement of the former River Parishes Hospital.
The facility includes a 24-hour emergency room and access to Ochsner's telestroke program, which connects off-site neurologists with stroke victims at the River Parishes facility.
