New Orleans-based Ochsner Health System, in partnership with Franklin, Tenn.-based Acadia Healthcare, opened its 82-bed inpatient behavioral health facility in La Place, La., April 24.
The facility, named River Place Behavioral Health, has an adult acute care unit, a geriatric psychiatric unit, an adolescent behavioral health unit and a dual diagnosis unit for the treatment of substance abuse disorders.
The facility will be operated as a joint venture between Ochsner and Acadia.
"River Place illustrates the value of partnership, bringing together Acadia, a national expert in behavioral health, and Ochsner, a national leader in physician group practice, to deliver much needed inpatient behavioral health services to adults and adolescents," said Warner Thomas, president and CEO of Ochsner Health System.
