New York City-based NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue received an anonymous $1 million donation to acknowledge care provided to a patient who sustained head trauma after a fall.
The donation will fund services in the emergency room, critical care, neurology, physical and occupational therapy, and social work, all services used by the patient during their stay, according to a Jan. 17 NYC Health + Hospitals news release.
"These individuals went above and beyond the call of duty, and clearly cared deeply about providing the best standard of care they could in a situation where everyone is pulled in many directions," the anonymous donor wrote. "As a result, we would like to reward their outstanding efforts."
