Lincoln, Neb.-based Bryan Health opened a new multidisciplinary clinic to improve the region's care for breast cancer patients.
The Bryan Breast Cancer Multidisciplinary Clinic provides personalized care for patients at one time and location. During their appointment, patients meet with a team of specialists to answer questions and determine the best course of treatment, according to an Oct. 26 news release.
"We look at imaging, the pathology and discuss each case on an individual basis. We make sure we do what is best for the patient and provide a consistent, calming message about their treatment. We are very excited to be able to offer this type of care to breast cancer patients in our region," said Rachel Jendro, MD, chief medical director of the Bryan Breast Cancer Multidisciplinary Clinic.
Bryan Health is a nonprofit health system that employs about 3,500 people.
