Medical University of South Carolina is planning to build a $130 million hospital in Nexton, a new master-planned community near Charleston, according to a May 5 report in the Charleston Business Journal.
The proposed facility would have 128 beds, eight labor and delivery rooms, four operating rooms, diagnostic testing and imaging as well as emergency services.
MUSC needs approval from the state to build the facility.
Pending approval, the hospital is expected to take two and a half years to build.
