Mercy Health-Fairfield Hospital launches $14M renovation

Mercy Health-Cincinnati has launched a $14 million renovation of its Fairfield (Ohio) Hospital, according to Journal-News.

The project will enhance patient care in surgery and inpatient and outpatient endoscopy, according to the report.

"Mercy Health-Fairfield Hospital's excellent reputation for top quality care continues to attract patients from Butler County and surrounding areas," Mercy Health North Market President and CEO Thomas Urban said in a statement. "During this renovation, we will upgrade our surgery suites to include the latest technology to enhance patient care. We will also expand our patients' ability to utilize our spine intervention capabilities and improve access to our ambulatory surgery center to provide a better patient and visitor experience that accommodates our growing patient volume."

The hospital will expand its inpatient and outpatient operating rooms to better accommodate new technology; enlarge its spine intervention center to improve patient access; redesign the driveway and entrance to enhance patients' ease of access to the building; and co-locate inpatient and outpatient endoscopy to improve efficiency, according to the report.
