$450M Michigan hospital going up in South Lansing

McLaren Greater Lansing (Mich.) broke ground Dec. 17 on a $450 million hospital that will serve as a consolidated home for its two facilities in South Lansing, according to a WILX news report.

The hospital, where McLaren plans to combine its two current healthcare facilities, will be built next to Michigan State University in East Lansing.  The two old hospitals will be redeveloped.

McLaren will add about 80 employees when the new facility opens.

Construction is expected to end in 2021.
