Inspira breaks ground on $349M replacement hospital in South Jersey

Woodbury, N.J.-based Inspira Health Network on May 24 broke ground on a new $349 million hospital, NJ.com reported.

 

The 467,000-square-foot, five-story Inspira Medical Center Mullica Hill (N.J.) will house 204 beds. It is slated to open in September 2019 and will replace Inspira's hospital in Woodbury, according to the report. The new hospital is expected to create 1,400 jobs

The Woodbury hospital will continue to provide emergency services, observation beds, some outpatient services and billing and administrative duties. About 500 of the 1,600 employees currently working at the Woodbury hospital will remain there. Inspira said it plans to invest about $7 million in improvements to the facility, according to the report.
