Marriottsville, Md.-based Bon Secours has kept itself busy in the Richmond, Va., market as it nears completion on an expansion project and sells another facility in the area, according to a March 13 report in Richmond BizSense.
The $15 million expansion project at Kilmarnock, Va.-based Rappahannock General Hospital is largely complete, with final finishing steps expected in the second quarter this year, the report said. The expansion adds private beds to the 35-bed hospital through the remodeling of the emergency department.
Meanwhile, the health system has sold an emergency center in the area for $20.3 million.
Bon Secours, which bought the Chester, Va., center for $2 million and then spent $25.6 million on remodeling, will continue to operate as a tenant at the center, the report said.
