Aventura (Fla.) Hospital and Medical Center is seeking city approval for a major expansion project, including the addition of 60 patient rooms and a 506-space parking garage, according to the South Florida Business Journal.
The city commission will vote on the proposal by the hospital on June 14.
Aventura Hospital and Medical Center, which is owned by Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare, recently completed a $75.6 million emergency department expansion, which included 22 new rooms. The hospital was designated a Level II trauma center in 2016.
The latest expansion plans include the construction of a three-story building housing 60 patient rooms, waiting rooms and a lounge, as well as a 506-space parking garage, according to the report.
Estimated cost for the project was not noted in the report.
