Charlotte, N.C.-based Atrium Health broke ground on a new 30-bed hospital in Cornelius, N.C.
The new hospital, Atrium Health Lake Norman, is set to open in 2025. The new hospital is part of Atrium's $1 billion capital expenditure program launched in 2018, according to a May 31 Atrium Health news release shared with Becker's.
Atrium Health Lake Norman will also have an intensive care unit with four beds.
The new 170,000-square-foot facility will create around 280 new jobs, according to the news release.
