Anderson Hospital allocates $7M toward private rooms

Maryville, Ill.-based Anderson Hospital invested $7.2 million to change physician offices into private rooms, St. Louis Business Journal reports.

Construction on the project is complete, with the second floor of the hospital's physician office building converted into 21 private patient rooms. The unit is expected to open in early October after an inspection by the Illinois Department of Public Health. Physician offices were relocated to another part of the hospital's campus.

The hospital is also renovating 134 of its existing inpatient rooms into private rooms. The project began at the start of this year, with eight rooms left for renovation.
