The $561 million construction of Minot (N.D.) Trinity Hospital is set for a January completion and an April opening, The Grand Forks Herald reported Dec. 12.
The 594,000-square-foot hospital building will be accompanied by a 196,000-square-foot medical office building. Minot Trinity's emergency room will be three times larger than the town's current emergency room.
"We'll take that time from January to April to move equipment – and there's a lot of equipment," Trinity Health Foundation Director Dusty Zimmerman told The Herald. "For instance, in the lab area, that needs to be acclimated to a new space – and it will take several months to do that before it can be utilized for patient care. And so those few months will give us the opportunity to do those things."
