Mayo Clinic in Arizona Adds Patient Tracking System

Mayo Clinic in Phoenix announced the implementation of a data platform to help improve patient flow in the emergency department.

Vernon Smith, MD, an emergency room physician at Mayo Clinic in Arizona, developed the YES Board, a computerized patient tracking system that visually displays patient data on a television in the ED. The data show patients' locations and needs in the ED. The board also helps identify usable space and resources.
