Cincinnati Campaign Aims to Reduce ED Visits by 10% by 2015

The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation's Aligning Forces for Quality initiative announced a program in Cincinnati aims to reduce emergency department visits by 10 percent by April 2015.

The program, called the "Make the Right Call" campaign, was created by Cincinnati Aligning Forces for Quality, led by the Health Collaborative, to reduce avoidable ED admissions. Under the campaign, several healthcare organizations in Ohio partnered to educate patients about the appropriate setting for different healthcare needs. The campaign also focuses on prevention and encourages people to have a primary care physician.
