An anonymous bidder paid $3.3 million at a charity auction to have lunch with Berkshire Hathaway CEO Warren Buffett, according to The New York Times.
The auction is in its 19th year and will benefit Glide, a San Francisco nonprofit that provides a variety of services for people who are poor, homeless or dealing with substance abuse issues.
The anonymous winner will dine with Mr. Buffett and up to seven friends at Smith & Wollensky in New York City.
