The 1,500-person city of Mayo, Fla., temporarily changed its name to "Miracle Whip" in a branding prank led by Kraft Heinz, according to CNBC.
On Aug. 25, the city unveiled a water tower with the name of the mayonnaise-like dressing on it. The city will get up to $25,000 in beautification funds thanks to the brief rename.
Kraft's Miracle Whip joke is the latest attempt by a company to use a city for promotion. Two months ago, Domino's pizza chain paid for Milford, Del., to fix its potholes in exchange for topping them with the Domino's logo. Milford received $5,000 from Domino's for the stunt.
