The University of Chicago Physicians at Matteson (Ill.) are moving to a new location to increase patients' access to medical services in the area and make room for more surgical specialty services, according to a University of Chicago Medical Center news release.
The new building has larger exam rooms and will allow more physicians to care for their patients in their own neighborhood. Among the new offerings are general surgery and plastic surgery care. The ear, nose and throat practice is expanding, and pediatric urology will be added to the clinic in late summer.
The old practice in Matteson received about 8,000 patient visits every year. In brand new offices across the street, physicians will be able to accommodate 14,000 patient visits.
