Texas' Scott & White Healthcare Purchases Land for New Facility

Scott & White Healthcare, in Temple, Texas, purchased 111 acres of undeveloped land last week for a new medical center south of Marble Falls, Texas, according to a Scott & White news release.

The land was purchased from Craig Crossing and Primos Properties for an undisclosed amount. The acquisition also included 38 acres of donated property.

Scott & White purchased the land to build Lake of the Hills Regional Medical Center in partnership with the City of Marble Falls, Texas. The center will be a 60-bed full service hospital for the rapidly growing Hill Country area, according to the Scott & White website.

Construction is planned to begin in July 2011, with a projected completion date of Aug. 2012, according to the release.
