Johns Hopkins to Partner With MX.com to Offer Care Protocols, Other Tools

John Hopkins Health System and the John Hopkins University School of Medicine has partnered with MX.com, an online marketplace for healthcare management solutions, to offer evidence-based care protocols and other tools developed by the health system, according to a news release.

As part of the partnership, John Hopkins will acquire equity in MX.com and will offer solutions related to patient safety improvements, palliative care protocols and strategies to manage end stage renal disease.

"Johns Hopkins Medicine has a tradition of translating research into clinical applications and then applying them to our patients and patients throughout the world," says Mark Shaver, senior director of business development and strategic alliances for Johns Hopkins Medicine. "MX.com provides a platform for us to be able to make these successful programs available to hospital systems worldwide."
