Somnia Anesthesia has released a resource document, "A Hospital's Guide to Evaluating Anesthesia Services," to help hospital leaders evaluate their facility's anesthesia services.
The guide provides a framework for a strategic analysis and evaluation of a hospital's anesthesia services and offers a simple, yet comprehensive tool, for evaluating the delivery of anesthesia services. The paper focuses on four key areas to consider when conducting the evaluation: leadership, financial management, quality improvement and clinical services.
Additionally, Somnia Anesthesia, along with Becker's Hospital Review, will host a webinar on May 8 at 2:15 on the same topic. Presenters include senior executives from a Level I trauma hospital in New York City and an acute-care hospital in New Mexico, who will explain how anesthesia services were evaluated and improved in their respective facilities.
