Arlington-based Texas Health Resources announced last Friday its wholly-owned and joint-venture hospitals will become hospital-participants in a Medicare Shared Savings Program accountable care organization.
The Texas Health Hospitals will join Premier Patient Health Care's existing ACO. Premier Patient Health Care is an independent physician organization in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
"Our goals are to integrate communications between inpatient and outpatient settings, enhance coordination of acute care and behavioral health services, and improve overall health for Medicare patients attributed to the ACO," said Anwar Kazi, CEO of Sybrid Health, a management partner of Premier. "We are committed to providing quality care to the population of Medicare patients, and we believe this ACO will enhance the value we deliver to patients. It does not restrict or reduce services provided to our patients."
