Southwestern Health Resources, BCBS of Texas launch ACO for 130K member

Southwestern Health Resources, the clinically integrated network formed by Arlington-based Texas Health Resources and UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, collaborated with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas to create an ACO, the organizations said Oct. 16.

The providers and payer will coordinate care for more than 130,000 BCBSTX members across North Texas.

The agreement was effective July 1. The ACO will tie payments to providers within the clinically integrated network to specific patient quality measures and cost goals.
