Great Neck, N.Y.-based North Shore-LIJ Health System and Hartford, Conn.-based Aetna announced Thursday a value-based agreement to provide 30,000 commercial plan members with coordinated care.
The agreement calls for Aetna members to receive coordinated care through North Shore-LIJ Premium IPA, the system's integrated network of more than 5,500 physicians and healthcare professionals. Providers will earn incentives based on quality and efficiency measures.
"Aetna's collaborative agreement with the North Shore-LIJ Health System will promote better health outcomes and improve access to affordable, high-quality healthcare for our members who choose this system as their primary healthcare provider," Terry Golash MD, senior medical director of Aetna's New York market, said in a statement.
