Mayo Clinic, Medica Partner to Improve Care

Minneapolis-based Medica and Rochester, Minn.-basedMayo Clinic Health System have announced they are partnering to improve the quality of care and cut costs for patients in northwestern Wisconsin.

Under the new agreement, Medica will offer reduced costs for group coverage plans for patients who receive care at Mayo Clinic Health System. The two organizations will work together to manage patients' total cost by providing coordinated care from a whole team of providers.

"Medica is delighted to partner with Mayo Clinic Health System to bring this new kind of health plan to northwestern Wisconsin," said John Naylor, senior vice president and general manager for commercial markets at Medica in the news release.
