Humana, MDX Hawaii enter into accountable care agreement

Honolulu-based MDX Hawaii — a third party administrator for employer and government-sponsored health pans — and Humana have entered into an accountable care agreement aimed at improving quality of care and reducing healthcare costs for Humana Medicare Advantage members in Hawaii.

MDX's Preferred Provider Network includes more than 3,700 physicians, and under the agreement, they there will be value-based incentives for them tied to performance.

"This accountable care partnership with MDX is a natural fit for Humana as we already share a focus on integrated health and patient-centered care," said Mike Franks, market leader of Human's senior products in Hawaii.
