Florida Blue and Palm Beach Accountable Care Organization, based in West Palm Beach, Fla., are teaming up to provide high quality, efficient care in South Florida.
The two organizations have implemented an accountable care program to enhance care for patients in Palm Beach, Miami-Dade, Broward, Martin, Okeechobee and St. Lucie Counties.
"Florida Blue is excited to be working closely with Palm Beach ACO to drive patient satisfaction and engagement, improve quality and outcomes while eliminating duplication of services," Kirk Fischer, vice president of delivery system for Florida Blue, said in a prepared statement.
This partnership marks Florida Blue's 23rd value-based arrangement with an ACO. Its value-based arrangements with hospitals and physicians number 56 and 11,500, respectively.
