Catalyst Health Network, a clinically integrated network of primary care physicians based in Plano, Texas, announced Monday it will become the first physician network in the area to establish value-based agreements with the top four payers.
According to the announcement, Aetna has joined Catalyst Health under a value-based agreement for the payer's employer-sponsored plan participants. Catalyst Health's 175 providers will have access to patient information in real-time, so they can improve care coordination.
"The addition of Aetna to Catalyst Health Network marks a significant milestone for us, making 95 percent of health insurance plans available to our providers," Catalyst Health Network President Christopher Crow, MD, said in a statement. "Our relationships with major carriers help independent physicians provide better care for all their patients under a single care coordination and technology platform."
