Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey and seven New Jersey health systems announced Thursday the formation of a statewide, value-based care alliance called OMNIA Health Alliance.
The OMNIA Health Alliance, which aims to use population health management and more integrated, coordinated care to produce better health outcomes, improve patient experience and lower costs, will include the following health organizations that together represent 22 hospitals and their aligned physicians.
- Atlantic Health System (Morristown, N.J.)
- Barnabas Health (West Orange, N.J.)
- Hackensack (N.J.) University Health Network
- Hunterdon Healthcare (Flemington, N.J.)
- Inspira Health Network (Mullica Hill, N.J.)
- Robert Wood Johnson Health System (New Brunswick, N.J.)
- Summit Medical Group (Berkeley Heights, N.J.)
Horizon BCBSNJ plans to complement the launch of the alliance with a new suite of health plans with lower premiums and opportunities for members to save on out-of-pocket costs. The products will be launched in 2016.
