Arizona Care Network ACO, Cigna to offer joint health plan: 4 things to know

Phoenix-based Arizona Care Network, a physician-led ACO with 5,000-plus clinicians, launched joint health plans with Cigna.

Here are four things to know about the collaboration.

1. The joint health plans will be available to employers in Arizona's Maricopa County beginning April 1.

2. The alliance expands ACN's relationship with Cigna. ACN participates in Cigna's value-based Cigna Collaborative Care program.

3. Members of the new joint health plans will be able to access ACN's network of physicians and hospitals. This includes San Francisco-based Dignity Health, Phoenix-based Abrazo Community Health Network, Phoenix Children's Hospital and providers across 1,200-plus locations.

4. A joint operating committee of representatives from ACN and Cigna will govern the alliance.
