Aetna, Northeast Medical Group Form Collaborative Care Agreement

New Haven, Conn.-based Northeast Medical Group, a physician group affiliated with Yale New Haven Health, and Aetna have announced a new collaborative care agreement.

The goal of the new agreement is to provide a higher quality of care to Aetna members while cutting healthcare costs.

Under the new collaboration agreement, Northeast Medical Group and its physicians will be rewarded by Aetna for meeting quality and efficiency measures, according to the news release.

"We recognize the changing healthcare landscape requires us to work in continued partnership with our patients to ensure their health and exceptional outcomes and we are enthusiastic about working with Aetna to achieve these goals," said Robert Nordgren, MD, CEO of Northeast Medical Group, in the news release.
