A new report from Availity, a revenue cycle management and business solutions provider, has identified the value-based payment models used most often by healthcare providers.
The report made the following findings concerning practice-based healthcare providers:

Fifty-three percent participate in a Medicare quality incentive program.

Forty-nine percent participate in a pay-for-performance program.
-
Thirty-eight percent are part of an accountable care organization.

Thirty-one percent participate in a bundled payment plan.
-
Thirty-one percent provide care under a patient-centered medical home model.

Twenty-two percent receive payment for care coordination.
The report also made the following findings concerning facility-based healthcare providers:

Fifty-nine percent participate in a Medicare quality incentive program.

Fifty-four percent participate in a pay-for-performance program.
-
Thirty-nine percent participate in a bundled payment plan.

Thirty-four percent are part of an ACO.
-
Twenty-eight percent provide care under a patient-centered medical home model.

Sixteen percent receive payment for coordination of care.
The results were based on survey responses from 540 healthcare providers.
