Two hospitals in North Carolina's Surry County have joined the National Rural Accountable Care Consortium, according to the Winston-Salem Journal.
Mount Airy, N.C.-based Northern Hospital and Elkin, N.C.-based Hugh Chatham Memorial have joined the subgroup that includes Kentucky and Tennessee, according to the report.
Hugh Chatham CEO Paul Hammes is chairman of the region's consortium, Northern President and CEO Ned Hill is treasurer and Elkin physician, Paul Gulley, MD, will serve as medical director, according to the report.
