Winneshiek Medical Center (Decorah, Iowa). Winneshiek Medical Center is a nonprofit critical access hospital and clinic owned by the citizens of Winneshiek County. The clinic became the first Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic Health System site in 1992 and Winneshiek Medical Center is currently staffed by physicians from Mayo and Gundersen Lutheran in Ossian, Iowa. iVantage Health Analytics named the hospital on the 2017 Top 100 Critical Access Hospitals in the U.S. list.
