UHAMC also installed water-efficient plumbing fixtures, which have reduced the facility's water usage by 25 percent, and engaged in recycling protocols and water and energy conservation practices. The hospital has received the 2016 The Greenhealth Partner for Change Award honoring its sustainability efforts.
