Parkland Memorial Hospital (Dallas). Parkland Memorial Hospital and its Women & Infants Special Health Clinic were awarded LEED Gold certification for its new building in 2015. Parkland previously earned LEED Gold certification for its tower garage in 2013. Additionally, the hospital's water efficient landscaping earned Parkland the North Texas Distinguished Greenscape Award in 2015. Despite its numerous awards and achievements like saving 12 million gallons of water per year through its water reclamation system, Parkland is still dedicated to furthering its sustainability efforts — two employees are tasked with that sole responsibility.
