Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center (Chicago). This year, Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center earned several prestigious awards for its energy conservation and sustainability efforts. For instance, it was one of 30 hospitals to earn the Energy to Care Award from the American Society for Healthcare Engineering this year for reducing its energy by 10 percent or more in one year. This 397-bed hospital also earned Practice Greenhealth's Top 25 Environmental Excellence Award and a spot in two of its Circles of Excellence: the Leadership Circle and the Energy Circle.
