Ms. O'Kane received the distinguished alumnus award from Johns Hopkins University, where she received her master's degree in health administration and planning. In addition to being the founding and current president of the NCQA, she is a member of the Quality Alliance Steering Committee, was elected as a member of the Institute of Medicine and is recognized for excellence in leadership by the National Center for Healthcare Leadership.Ms. O'Kane also serves on the advisory board for the Johns Hopkins Medicine Bloomberg School of Public Health, the board of directors of the Milbank Memorial Fund, and is chairman of the board of the nonprofit organization Healthwise.
