Carol Barsky, MD. Vice President, Chief Quality and Patient Safety Officer of Hackensack (N.J.) University Health Network.
Dr. Barsky took on her current role in July 2015, joining HackensackUHN from Yale-New Haven (Conn.) Hospital, where she was medical director for clinical performance and associate chief of patient safety and quality. She trained in emergency medicine at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, and earned an MBA from Yale School of Management. Dr. Barsky has also been the vice chair and medical director at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York. There, she coordinated the hospital's response to 9/11. She also redesigned the hospital's emergency department, overseeing the instillation of New York City’s first completely electronic medical record.
