Richard Gilfillan, MD. CEO of Trinity Health (Livonia, Mich.). Dr. Gilfillan is CEO of Trinity Health, one of the nation's largest Catholic healthcare systems with 93 hospitals across 22 states. For 30-plus years, Dr. Gilfillan has helmed nonprofit, for-profit, payer and government healthcare organizations. As the first director of the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation in 2010, he has played a key role in guiding healthcare policy reform by working to bridge payer and provider operations. Dr. Gilfillan began his career as a family medicine physician and went on to serve in the roles of medical director and CMO.
