Penny Wheeler, MD. President and CEO of Allina Health (Minneapolis).Dr. Wheeler was the chief clinical officer of Allina Health before she took over as president and CEO. The health system includes 12 hospitals, 65 health clinics, 23 hospital-based clinics, 15 retail pharmacies and two ambulatory care centers. Dr. Wheeler has delivered presentations on the health system's quality advancements and outcomes-based quality payment model approaches. In addition to her role with Allina, Dr. Wheeler serves as chair of Minnesota Community Measurement's board and on Portico Healthnet's board. Dr. Wheeler is a board-certified obstetrician/gynecologist and previously treated patients at Women's Health Consultants, as well as served as president of Abbott Northwestern Hospital's medical staff, both located in Minneapolis.
