Loy Howard. President and CEO of Tanner Health System (Carrollton, Ga.). In 1994, Mr. Howard joined Tanner Health System as president and CEO. During his tenure, the health system has grown from a two-hospital organization to a five-hospital organization that also includes a 92-bed behavioral health facility and more than 25 medical practices in Georgia and Alabama. Mr. Howard also oversaw the expansion of Tanner Health's cancer care and cardiac services and grew the system's community wellness programs. Before joining Tanner Health System, Mr. Howard was CEO and CFO of Union (S.C.) Hospital District. In addition to his health system leadership, Mr. Howard has served as the chairman of Carroll County Chamber of Commerce.
