Jim Skogsbergh. President and CEO of Advocate Health Care (Downers Grove, Ill.). Mr. Skogsbergh joined Advocate in 2001 as executive vice president and COO, and was elected CEO in 2002. He oversees the health system, which includes 12 acute care hospitals and around 400 sites of care. He is also responsible for the system's 35,000 associates and 6,300 affiliated physicians. Prior to joining Advocate, he was executive vice president of Des Moines-based Iowa Health System, now known as UnityPoint Health, and has served as president and CEO of Iowa Methodist Medical Center, Iowa Lutheran Hospital and Blank Children's Hospital, all in Des Moines. In addition to his hospital leadership roles, Mr. Skogsbergh has experience serving as chairman of the American Hospital Association.
