Ginger Williams, MD. President and CEO of Oaklawn Hospital (Marshall, Mich.). Starting out as an emergency department physician, Dr. Williams soon realized her love for administration. In 2013, she took the helm of Oaklawn Hospital, a hospital with 77 acute care beds and a 17-bed psychiatric unit. In response to financial troubles in 2014, Dr. Williams implemented significant change in the hospital, focusing on cost-saving and revenue-boosting tactics. The hospital is now Marshall's largest employer, with a team of more than 1,000 members, and serves as a cornerstone of the community. In 2017, Truven Health Analytics named Oaklawn Hospital among the nation's 100 Top Hospitals.
