David Torchiana, MD. President and CEO of Partners HealthCare (Boston). In March 2015, Dr. Torchiana became the fifth CEO of Partners HealthCare, a healthcare system that now encompasses community and specialty hospitals, a managed care organization, a physician network, community health centers and home care. Dr. Torchiana previously served as chairman and CEO of the Massachusetts General Physicians Organization, where he represented a 2,000-physician medical group practice. A cardiologist by training, Dr. Torchiana served as chief of cardiac surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital for five years and brings his unique perspective as a clinician to his executive leadership roles.
