Akram Boutros, MD. President and CEO of The MetroHealth System (Cleveland). Dr. Boutros has more than two decades of leadership experience in large community hospitals, specialty hospitals and academic medical centers, previously serving as executive vice president and chief administrative officer of Roslyn, N.Y.-based St. Francis Hospital-The Heart Center and as executive vice president, CMO and COO of Oceanside, N.Y.-based South Nassau Communities Hospital. Prior to joining The MetroHealth System as president and CEO in June 2013, he acted as president of BusinessFirst Healthcare Solutions, a Great Neck, N.Y.-based healthcare advisory firm. Dr. Boutros sits on the boards for Greater Cleveland Partnership, United Way of Greater Cleveland, the Cuyahoga Community College Foundation and the Cleveland Ballet. He was also named to Crain's Cleveland Business' "Power 150" list in 2014 and Inside Business Magazine's "Power 100" list in 2015, in addition to being recognized as the EY 2015 Entrepreneur of the Year for Community Impact in Northeast Ohio.
