Meet the organization: Founded in 1981, NorthShore University HealthSystem was initially a six-bed facility that has since expanded to a hospital network comprised of four hospitals and more than 800 primary care physicians and specialists. The system has a teaching affiliation with the University of Chicago's Pritzker School of Medicine and is home to the first cancer center to be built by a community hospital in 1981 with the Kellogg Cancer Care Center in Evanston.
